'Swedish Pastel', also known as 'Krupke's Pastel', is a seedling of the variety 'Quad' selected by the Swedish breeder Hermann Krupke. The variety is characterized by excellent vigor and its unique play of colors ranging from pastel yellow to pale pink. The flowers on younger plants are mostly semi-double, but after a few years it produces many double flowers. The flowering time is mid-season, usually in the first half of May. The foliage is very healthy and dark green with attractive habit. The plant does not need any support. We have now looked at this plant for many years and taken it into propagation.
